An information event kindly hosted by APS for children in the Altrincham area who are considering their options for secondary education. Please come along to hear from our Headmaster about our ethos and outstanding educational offer.

Sixth Form Options Evening
Thursday 17 November 2016, 6pm

Please join us for an evening designed to give potential Sixth Form students a greater understanding of the subject choices available and the syllabus content. Every academic department will give talks describing the content of their A level courses. External applicants are most welcome to attend to meet our staff and chat to current students.

 

Midweek Tours
We offer a list of tour dates when you can see us on a normal working day. We would be delighted to welcome you, so for details of available days and to book, please contact Admissions on 01625 260000.

 

Senior Taster Day (for 12+, 13+ and 14+ candidates for 2017 entry)

November 2016 (9.30am - 3pm)

This is a special day for pupils currently in Year 7, 8 or 9 who may be considering entry to King’s Seniors in September 2017 or 2018. This successful day allows both boys and girls to experience a normal working day at King’s. Pupils get to experience lessons, meet our pupils and staff and have a look around our facilities. It is also an ideal opportunity for parents to chat to staff, over refreshments, when they come to collect their child at the end of the day. Please call the Admissions team to book a place.

 

Life at King's

Saturday 14 January 2017 (10am - 12 noon)

Aimed at those pupils who are registered to take our Senior Entrance Examination in January 2017, this is a structured morning designed to give parents of Year 6 pupils more detail about our new curriculum, our pastoral structure, outstanding extra-curricular offer and school life in general. There are fun activities for the children to get involved with. Please book through Admissions for this event. Not applicable for Infant or Sixth Form entry.

Infant & Junior Taster Afternoon (booking required)

Thursday 16 February 2017, 1:15pm - 3pm

All infant and junior age children and their parents are invited to spend the afternoon in school. Children will be able to join classes from Pre-School through to Year 6 and experience learning on a normal school day, whilst parents can speak to staff about our unique curriculum and the vast array of opportunities on offer, as well as look around our classrooms, extensive outdoor areas and new sports facilities. Infant & Junior Open Afternoon

Friday 28 April 2017, 1:15pm - 3pm

One of the biggest events of the year, our Open Afternoon offers you the opportunity to come and look round our Infant & Junior Division and learn about our full and balanced curriculum, as well as the incredible range of sports and clubs on offer. Our Year 6 pupils will show you around the school and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet our staff and pupils and see why we are so passionate about what we have to offer. Taster Day - for Senior School entry 2018

A fun-packed day for children currently in Year 5 to come and learn about what life is like at Senior School. Please note, last year's event was fully booked so please apply early. Please call the Admissions team for further information on 01625 260000.

Sixth Form Open Evening (for entry in 2018)
Wednesday tbc September 2017, 6.30pm 

Please join us for our Sixth Form Open Evening. At this event, all academic departments and our modern Sixth Form Centre will be open for you to visit, as well as meet our staff and current Sixth Form pupils, learn more about subject choices, sports provision, preparation for university and our careers advisory service.

Whole School Open Day
Saturday tbc October 2017, 10am - 2pm 

Our open events in the Autumn term are designed to provide an insight into 'life at King's' and show all that we have to offer future pupils prior to the entrance examinations in January. Please come along to meet our staff and pupils, have your questions answered, see our facilities and hear from our Headmaster and Principals about the schools ethos, aims and our plans for the future.

Headmasters' Talk at Fence Avenue (Senior Girls' Division) - 11.30am

Headmasters talk at Cumberland Street (Senior Boys' Division) - 12.30pm

 

You will be shown around the school by our pupils and there will be plenty of opportunities to meet staff and enjoy refreshments. There is no need to book - please just join us for a great day! The whole school is open on this occasion, so please come to our Cumberland Street site (SK10 1DA) for the Senior Boys' Division and Sixth Form, or our Fence Avenue site (SK10 1LS) for the Infant & Junior Division and Senior Girls' Division.
